Leading the line: warehouse communication

Leading the line: warehouse communication

Good communication keeps a warehouse moving. When instructions are clear and feedback flows both ways, errors drop, shifts run smoother and the whole team feels less stressed.

Keep messages short and specific

On a busy floor, long explanations get lost. Say what needs doing, where, and by when. Confirm the other person heard you, especially around moving equipment where noise is high.

Use the tools you are given

Headsets, scanners and shift boards exist to reduce confusion. Learn them early. If something is unclear, ask, raising a question is far cheaper than fixing a mistake later.
