PPE basics every warehouse worker needs

Personal protective equipment (PPE) is your last line of defence. Knowing what to wear and when is part of doing the job well.

The usual kit

Safety boots with toe protection, a hi-vis vest, and gloves for handling are standard almost everywhere. Some areas add hard hats, ear protection or goggles, follow the signs for each zone.

Look after it

Check your PPE for damage, keep it clean, and replace worn boots or torn gloves. Tell a supervisor if your kit no longer protects you, you should never have to buy your own safety gear.
